Spring Research Fair continues today
Poster sessions featuring graduate students’ and undergraduates’ research and creativity are highlights of the spring UNL Research Fair Tuesday and Wednesday. Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend and support UNL students’ outstanding work.
A full schedule of events is available on the Research Fair website. Join the discussion on Twitter using the hashtag #UNLRF. Providing opportunities for students to communicate about their work and build interdisciplinary connections are goals of the poster sessions, which are Tuesday for graduate students and Wednesday for undergraduates. Both poster sessions are 3:30-5 p.m. in the Nebraska Union Centennial Room and ballroom.
Wednesday’s Research Fair events include:
- Stephen Behrendt, George Holmes Professor of English, will present the spring Nebraska Lecture, “So What Good Are the Humanities, Anyway?” at 2:30 p.m. in the Nebraska Union auditorium with a reception following in the Centennial Room. A live webcast will be available at research.unl.edu/nebraskalectures.
- Planning and Preparing for Graduate School, which addresses how to find the right graduate program and prepare application materials. The workshop is 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Nebraska Union Regency Suite, rooms B and C.
The biannual Research Fair is sponsored by the Office of Graduate Studies, Office of Academic Affairs and Office of Research and Development.
