Welcome to the Research Council
The Research Council represents the diversity of research, scholarship and creative activity at UNL with twelve faculty members who are appointed for three-year terms of service. The primary functions of the Research Council are to advise the Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development; to select speakers and host the Nebraska Lecture Series; and to review and award internal grants for research, scholarship and creative activities with funds allocated from the University of Nebraska Foundation.
The Research Council uses an electronic proposal submission process through NUgrant.
Deadlines for electronic submission of applications are available here.
Electronic submission of proposals to the Research Council Office is required.
The new application form, which features electronic approval and routing, is accessible through NUgrant. Applications must be submitted through NUgrant; paper applications will no longer be accepted.
