The Office of Research and Economic Development offers a variety of social media, web and email tools to help the university community and beyond stay connected to Husker research projects and campus events.

Social media

On the Nebraska Research social media channels, learn about Husker researchers’ accomplishments and projects, news and announcements from ORED, upcoming campus events and deadlines, and links to media stories featuring Nebraska research. These channels also feature photos and videos from special events like the Nebraska Lecture and Research Fair. Some events will be broadcast via Facebook Live.

Researchers are welcome to tag @UNLresearch in their social media posts, which may be retweeted, shared or featured on the front page of research.unl.edu.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s LinkedIn page features research-related and other campuswide news pieces.

Web tools and email

The research.unl.edu homepage includes the latest stories about Husker research projects. On the far right side of the main page is a link to News for Researchers, which features current information about research, faculty resources, services, policies and procedures, accomplishments and upcoming events. Stories that appear in Research News also are posted and archived here.

The Research News and Information page features a curated collection of research stories, videos, social media posts, annual reports and special publications, and journal covers showcasing Nebraska researchers’ work.

Researchers whose work is featured on the cover of a peer-reviewed journal may submit their covers here to be included in a campuswide gallery.

ORED also offers Funding Announcements, a weekly email list of funding opportunities from federal agencies, private foundations and other entities. The email also lists the university’s internal funding opportunities and limited submission competitions. ORED archives these funding announcements in a searchable archive on its website. Members of the research community can subscribe to Funding Announcements through NUgrant.
