The Nebraska Research Enterprise Apprenticeship Program (NREAP) is a two year apprenticeship-to-career experience that provides undergraduate students foundational knowledge, hands-on work experience, soft skills cultivation, and job placement coaching across the research enterprise spectrum — project management, sponsored programs, research communications, research compliance (including animal care), proposal development, and research finance.

Eligibility

Eligible students will be enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the Fall 2025 semester, have a minimum 2.0 GPA, are not graduating before May 2026, and can meet for in-person trainings on T/R from 3-5pm during the Fall 2025 semester. While this program is intended for students starting their junior year, we are accepting applications from all undergraduate student levels as long as they meet the previously mentioned eligibility requirements.
