Webinar on Nebraska Business Innovation Act funding programs is set for April 29

UNL Industry Relations and NU Connections will host a webinar on April 29 featuring the Nebraska of Department of Economic Development’s Business Innovation Consultants Ben Kuspa and Nisha Avey, who will discuss the Nebraska Business Innovation Act grant and investment programs.

The webinar, scheduled for 1:30 p.m., is open to faculty and staff. Preregistration is required using a university email address.

DED administers several funding programs for Nebraska businesses that help pay for research and development collaborations with state colleges and universities, match federal Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer awards and help fund prototyping and commercialization of new products.

Presenters will include Ben Kuspa and Nisha Avey, DED business innovation consultants; Ryan Anderson, UNL director of industry relations/NU Connections industry liaison officer; Michael Dixon, president and CEO of UNeMed/NU Connections industry liaison officer; and Q&A facilitator Sara Bennett, NBDC associate director/NU Connections industry liaison officer.
