Erwin Gianchandani, the National Science Foundation’s assistant director for technology, innovation and partnerships, will lead a virtual session about the intersection of fundamental science and practical applications on Oct. 29.
The Zoom session will include a panel discussion from 1-2:15 p.m. Central time and breakout discussions with NSF program officers from 2:15-3 p.m.
Learn from NSF program officers and NSF-funded principal investigators as they share their insights on:
- What use-inspired research is.
- How it aligns with your work.
- Why federal funders such as NSF are increasingly embracing this innovative approach.
Participants will have the opportunity to connect with NSF program officers in the breakout sessions and network with fellow PIs.
Zoom registration is required.
This virtual event is produced as part of a research development collaboration between the University of Nevada, Reno, the University of Idaho, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Montana State University and Utah State.
