Office of Research and Innovation staff will be available Nov. 26 and Dec. 18 to brief faculty and answer questions on R&I’s new Book Fellowship and Manuscript Workshop Program

Deb Hamernik, senior research adviser, and Nathan Meier, associate vice chancellor for research, capacity and competitiveness, will conduct two sets of office hours focused on the new program. A Zoom session is scheduled from 1-2:30 p.m. Nov. 26. Register to receive the Zoom link.

An in-person session is scheduled from 1-2:30 p.m. Dec. 18 in the Platte River Room South in the Nebraska Union. Register for the session.

R&I announced the new program earlier this month. Its purpose is to ensure eligible faculty members have the protected time and/or resources they need to publish a new book.

Proposals for the 2024-25 academic year must be submitted in NuRamp by 5 p.m. Jan. 15, 2025. The deadline for 2025-26 is expected to be the second Friday in October.

More information is available from Hamernik or Meier. Contact Mari Greer, administrative coordinator, with questions about proposal submission.
