Grand Challenges News for Researchers

The final Grand Challenges town hall of the 2021-22 academic year will be offered virtually on April 5, 11 a.m.-noon. Register to receive a Zoom link. This event is an opportunity for faculty to ask final questions prior to submitting Grand Challenges grant proposals.
Proposals must be submitted by April 29 at 5 p.m. CDT; late proposals will not be accepted. The RFP and an FAQ guide are available on the Grand Challenges website.
Other upcoming deadlines and events related to Grand Challenges:
- Faculty from every discipline and academic rank at the university are needed to serve as volunteer reviewers of the Grand Challenges planning grant proposals. This role will require nine to 12 volunteer hours during May and June. To register your interest, complete this form by April 15. To nominate a faculty colleague to serve as a reviewer, please send their name, departmental affiliation and email address to grandchallenges@unl.edu.
- Nebraska Extension is hosting an AMPLIFY Engagement Conference May 10-11 to better engage greater Nebraska in the university’s research and teaching. This conference is designed to help faculty connect with the over 300 extension faculty statewide to learn about key issues facing the state. The event will provide an opportunity to explore collaborations around the Grand Challenges and make progress toward the engagement goals of the N2025 Strategic Plan. Register by April 7.
