The Office of Research and Economic Development is sponsoring a Feb. 16-17 workshop focused on the Research Strategy section and resubmission process for proposals submitted to the National Institutes of Health’s Research Project Grant, or R01, funding mechanism.
AtKisson Training Group will lead both sessions, which will be in the Wick Alumni Center, 1520 R St. The Feb. 16 session, focused on Research Strategy, the primary narrative component of an R01 application, is 1-5 p.m. The Feb. 17 workshop, focused on resubmissions, is 9 a.m.-noon and includes a complimentary box lunch. Registration is required by Feb. 13.
Those who register for the Feb. 17 session should have previously submitted to NIH and received a summary statement.
The workshops are free and offered primarily to University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty. However, research staff, postdoctoral research fellows and graduate students may register and will be able to attend if space permits. After registration, they will be placed on a waitlist and notified by Feb. 14 if they can attend.
This is the second installment of a two-part series focused on proposal development strategies for R01 proposals. The first part of the series, held in Sept. 2022, focused on structuring NIH proposals and Specific Aims.
