Oct. 16 event to showcase Air Force Research Laboratory regional opportunities

A lunch and learn focused on collaboration opportunities with the Air Force Research Laboratory Regional Network – Midwest is Oct. 16 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Nebraska Union’s Heritage Room. 

Stacy Manni, director of the AFRL Regional Network – Midwest, will present “What Our Network Is and How Our Network Can Benefit You.” Lunch will be provided. Seating is limited, and registration is required.   

Additionally, a limited number of 15-minute consultations with Manni are available from 1:45-3 p.m. in the Seven Generations Conference Room, room 212, Nebraska Union. A limited number of individual and team consultations were offered; however, openings have been filled. Contact Heather Borck, research development program coordinator, to inquire about being added to a waiting list.

The AFRL Regional Network – Midwest at Purdue University is a pilot initiative designed to create a new science and technology ecosystem for partners from universities, businesses, government agencies and venture capitalists. 

The Midwest network enables AFRL scientists and engineers to engage and collaborate with researchers within the region. Together, the network will address defense-related issues through research, translation and workforce development opportunities for scientists and engineers while integrating stakeholders to encourage meaningful innovation in science and technology.
