Faculty who submit proposals to the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health should be aware of changes to those agencies’ policy guides:
- NSF’s revised version of its Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 20-1) has been issued and can be found on the NSF website.
The new PAPPG will be effective for proposals submitted or due, and awards made, on or after June 1, 2020.
- Last fall NIH released a new version of the Grants Policy Statement, retroactive to Oct. 1, 2019. The new policy statement can be found on the NIH website.
Significant changes to these policies and guidance include changes to current and pending support forms as well as the move toward using SciENcv (Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae) for the creation and formatting of biographical sketches. More information on these changes will be forthcoming in the coming months. For additional information please contact your grants coordinator.
