NSF Day is Nov. 8

Researchers, staff and students interested in seeking National Science Foundation funding can get information about NSF’s mission, priorities and budget at a Nov. 8 workshop held in conjunction with the fall UNL Research Fair.

NSF Day will be from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Nebraska Union. Advance registration is due to NSF by Nov. 1.

Presenters will discuss NSF’s proposal and merit review processes and outline NSF’s cross-disciplinary programs. Representatives from the seven NSF directorates, the Office of International Science and Engineering and the Office of Integrative Activities also will give presentations and be available throughout the day to answer questions about potential research proposals. Everyone interested in learning more about NSF funding is encouraged to register.

Because the event is part of this year’s Research Fair, the registration fee will be waived for UNL faculty, staff and students. Visit the NSF Day website to register and view the agenda.
