The Office of Research and Economic Development is sponsoring a limited submission competition to select the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s applicants to the 2018 Major Research Instrumentation competition at the National Science Foundation. Institutions are limited to three proposal submissions. Those interested in applying should complete an online notification of intent to submit to ORED by 5 p.m. CDT Aug. 25.

The NSF MRI program provides organizations the opportunity to acquire major, shared-use instrumentation that will support the organization’s research and research training goals and that may be used by other researchers regionally or nationally. Applicants may apply in either the: 1) acquisition track, which supports the acquisition of major instrumentation, or 2) development track, which supports the development of major instrumentation. Applications are due to NSF Jan. 10, 2018.

Visit ORED’s limited submissions website for additional information about UNL’s limited submission competition process and to submit a notification of intent to submit for the NSF MRI program.

For questions concerning the university’s limited submission competition process for this opportunity, contact Nathan Meier, assistant vice chancellor for research, 402-472-3902.
