A brief network outage is expected Aug. 3 as Information Technology Services performs an Aruba switch upgrade for the Edge network at UNL. This outage may affect researchers who use the network.
The outage, expected to last about 15 minutes, will occur between 8-9 a.m. on City Campus and 9-10 a.m. on East Campus and Nebraska Innovation Campus. The University of Nebraska at Kearney and University of Nebraska at Omaha also will be affected later in the morning. Clients will not have network connectivity for either wired or wireless systems during the upgrade, which will improve performance and address security vulnerabilities.
The tentative schedule could vary by an hour either way. If devices are unable to access the network after 30 minutes of being offline, clients should reboot their device. If devices still have issues after a reboot, clients should submit an ITS help ticket at support@nebraska.edu.
