The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Institutional Review Board has developed guidance for Nebraska research personnel whose work involves human subjects and may also be subject to the requirements of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, known as FERPA.

The guidance, developed in partnership with the Office of the University Registrar and the University of Nebraska general counsel, is available on the IRB’s A-Z Guidance Topics webpage, under the topic “Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA): Use of FERPA-regulated Data for Research Purposes.”
