Letters of intent are due Sept. 9 for two pilot research funding opportunities open to investigators from all University of Nebraska campuses and other Nebraska institutions from the Great Plains IDeA-CTR Network.
The network will provide team research pilot grants of up to $100,000 in direct costs for existing clinical and translational research teams or projects that address public health research. Single investigators are not eligible for this funding; there must be evidence of a team-based approach inviting two or more principal investigators from different disciplines.
The Great Plains IDeA-CTR Network also is seeking letters of intent for its tech transfer pilot grant, which will offer up to $50,000 in direct costs for a one-year project focused on translation of intellectual property into clinical or community applications.
Letters of intent for both programs are due by 5 p.m. Sept. 9. Those invited to submit full applications will be notified by Sept. 23, with solicited applications due Nov. 4.
Institutions in the Great Plains IDeA-CTR that are eligible for funding include: Boys Town National Research Hospital, Children’s Nebraska, Creighton University, Omaha VA Medical Center, University of Nebraska at Kearney, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University of Nebraska Medical Center and University of Nebraska at Omaha.
