The Office of Research and Economic Development and University Libraries are partnering to offer resources and workshops aimed at helping researchers understand and adopt the National Institutes of Health’s data management and sharing policy, which becomes effective Jan. 25, 2023.
Upcoming events include:
- Dec. 8, 10:30 a.m.-noon: Data Management Plans writing workshop, Dinsdale Family Learning Commons, Room 235. Registration is required. Additional information is posted on the UNL events calendar.
- Dec. 13, 1-2 p.m., and Dec. 14, 10-11 a.m.: Institutional Review Board workshops. Participants will learn how the NIH policy relates to human subjects research. Both workshops will be offered via Zoom. Register for the Dec. 13 or Dec. 14 event to receive the Zoom link.
Investigators who have NIH funding or may apply in the future are encouraged to become familiar with UNL’s robust online resource on the new data management and sharing policy, intended to promote the sharing of scientific data and more quickly disseminate research-backed knowledge to address pressing societal issues.
Additional events will be held throughout the spring 2023 semester. Watch for information on the University Libraries website, UNL event calendar and ORED’s website.
