The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Institutional Review Board is providing opportunities for research personnel to learn about the National Institutes of Health’s new data sharing policy as it relates to human subjects research.

The new NIH policy, effective for applications starting Jan. 25, 2023, will require investigators to submit a Data Management and Sharing Plan for any NIH-funded or conducted research that will generate scientific data.

IRB staff will host Zoom sessions at the following dates and times to briefly describe the new NIH requirements and related human subjects issues. They will answer any IRB-related questions personnel may have. Registration, available using the following links, is required.

Contact the IRB with questions. Beyond these sessions, the Office of Research and Economic Development and University Libraries are providing additional resources to help researchers comply with the new NIH policy.
