The University of Nebraska is committed to the ethical conduct of research. Anyone internal or external to the university who knows of or suspects research is not being conducted in accordance with federal, state or university requirements should report this information to the appropriate campus research oversight office. To provide another avenue for reporting, the University of Nebraska has a new online portal for reporting and a compliance hotline for each campus.

For concerns specific to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, reports may be made through the online portal or the UNL Compliance Hotline at 1-844-348-9584. The purpose of the compliance hotline is to provide another communication channel for reporting activity or conduct that may violate University of Nebraska or UNL policies and procedures, and/or federal, state or local laws and regulations. Reports received through the compliance hotline will be investigated and appropriate follow-up actions taken. Examples of such concerns might include:

The compliance hotline is operated by EthicsPoint, a third-party organization hired to collect and document information provided by the caller or via an online web form. It operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Visit the Research Compliance Services webpage to learn more about the UNL Compliance Hotline and procedures for reporting concerns about the ethical conduct of research.
