Past awardees will offer tips to pre-tenure University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty on how to prepare competitive proposals for the National Science Foundation’s Faculty Early Career Development, or CAREER, program.
The faculty panel’s virtual presentation, “Developing a Competitive NSF CAREER Application: Strategies for Proposal and Project Success,” is set for Dec. 1, 2-3 p.m. CST via Zoom. Registration closes Nov. 27.
The presentation is free and open to Nebraska faculty and administrators.
This event kicks off the Office of Research and Economic Development’s 2020-2021 NSF CAREER Club, which will provide a range of targeted support in the coming months for faculty developing CAREER applications for submission in July 2021. Other planned club activities include events focused on developing strong broader impacts plans, engaging program officers and highlighting university resources available to support the development of strong CAREER proposals. Participants in ORED’s NSF CAREER Club will also have opportunities to consult one-on-one with Office of Proposal Development staff and ORED’s NSF consultant.
Faculty interested in participating in the 2020-2021 NSF CAREER Club are strongly encouraged to attend the Dec. 1 panel. Information on how to apply to participate in the CAREER Club will be provided during that event.
