UNL Libraries has developed a LibGuide featuring online tutorials and other helpful information to help investigators transition National Science Foundation biographical sketches and current and pending support forms to the SciENcv format, required as of June 1.
SciENcv, or Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae, is an online system that researchers can use to create and maintain biosketches and other materials required for federal grant applications. Key information frequently included in biosketches and current and pending support forms is stored in the SciENcv system and used to generate sponsor-compliant PDF versions.
Since information is saved in a central location and is easily retrievable, SciENcv reduces the administrative burden of producing these documents. The SciENcv system also can retrieve information saved in other systems including ORCID, eRA Commons and My NCBi.
In addition to NSF-formatted biosketches, SciENcv can be used to generate biosketches formatted for proposals to the National Institutes of Health and the Institute of Education Sciences, part of the U.S. Department of Education.
