
About the event
The faculty convening on May 7, 2025, is an opportunity for the Nebraska research community to come together to help shape a research identity for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln that will drive research growth in the coming years. The full-day event is 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at the Nebraska Union’s Centennial Room.
Faculty participants will dream big about the future and share ideas about how UNL can act strategically in future endeavors and build on prior successes.
The May 7 event is a starting point for ongoing conversations and discussions about how to use resources strategically, identify focus areas and develop programming to support faculty and position Nebraska for continued growth. Co-creating partnerships with community organizations is a special area of focus.
Additional topics include:
- Indicators of research strength.
- Infrastructure capabilities, including leveraging recent investments.
- Alignment with local, state and national priorities.
