Workshop to offer grad students, post-docs tips on career paths

NUtech Ventures is sponsoring a workshop to help STEM graduate students and postdocs use their skills to better prepare for their future careers. 

“Pathways to Impact: Getting the Most Out of Your Ph.D.” is scheduled for Dec. 9, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., in the Kauffman Academic Residential Center’s Great Hall. Lunch will be provided. Register by Dec. 6.   

The guest speaker is Val Kovalsky, co-founder and chief technology officer of the Nebraska-based startup Nave Analytics Inc. Kovalsky will discuss his experiences working in academia, industry and entrepreneurship. 

Faculty are asked to encourage their graduate students and postdocs to register for this workshop, which will provide tips on maximizing their experiences in higher education and to consider various career paths they might not have considered.
