The Office of Sponsored Programs has updated its budget template to reflect a recent change to the University of Nebraska’s tuition remission policy for graduate assistants.
All investigators should use the updated template, available on the OSP website, when working on a sponsored program budget.
The University of Nebraska Board of Regents approved the new policy Aug. 16. It increases tuition remission from nine to 12 credit hours per semester of instruction for all graduate assistants with a one-third or more full-time equivalent appointment. Accordingly, OSP is now using a 40% estimated tuition remission rate in sponsored project budgets.
