The Institutional Review Board at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will transition its research administration module from NUgrant to NuRamp on Aug. 12.

While all University of Nebraska campuses use NuRamp, only UNL and the University of Nebraska at Kearney IRBs and their faculty, staff and students will utilize the NuRamp IRB module.

Users will log into NuRamp using their TrueYou credentials. Interfaces will function similarly to current NUgrant interfaces, with an updated look to enhance the user experience. The IRB application submission process is very similar but incorporates many updated application features. Users are strongly encouraged to attend Zoom training sessions, or watch recordings of the sessions, which will be held on the following dates:

Times are listed on the registration form, which attendees must fill out to receive the Zoom link. All sessions will be recorded and made available following the sessions.

Research personnel should be aware that all existing IRB application forms will be moved to NuRamp, including those in routing status.

Many UNL faculty, staff and students are already using NuRamp, as implementation is taking place in a phased approach. The IRB module is the final module to transition.

For more questions about the IRB module, contact IRB staff at IRB@unl.edu.
