The IDeA-CTR Network is offering two virtual grant writing workshops facilitated by the AtKisson Training Group.
“Structuring NIH Proposals for R Awards” will be offered April 1 and 8 from 8-11 a.m., and “The Ecosystem of NIH K Awards” will be April 15 from 8 a.m.-noon.
The R awards sessions will examine the framework for the specific aims or overview of participants’ proposals; cover the significance, innovation and approach guidelines; and explain the role of program officers and reviewers’ viewpoints.
The K awards session will cover requirements and nuances of a K award application; emphasize the purpose of each part and how sections must mesh; and connect proposal elements to tell a cohesive story.
Participation in both half-day R award sessions is required to attend the K award session.
Registration is required. Participants will receive an electronic version of AtKisson’s Handbook for Planning and Writing Successful Grant Proposals, which is designed to accompany the seminar and includes in-depth discussion of the grant writing process.
