Several internal funding programs are being offered by the Office of Research and Innovation, and R&I is hosting three events for the UNL community to learn more about these programs.
Internal Funding Opportunities
Applications to the following R&I internal funding programs are due April 1:
- Biomedical Research Seed Grants. These grants support seed funding to facilitate preliminary study and/or data collection to strengthen a future National Institutes of Health R21 or R01 proposal submission. Required notices of intent are due March 18.
- Collaboration Grants: Development and Catalyst. This new program provides support for teams to conduct collaborative research, scholarship and/or creative endeavors through the Development and Catalyst grant types.
- Book Fellowship and Manuscript Workshop Program. This R&I program will be offered again in the spring semester. The program supports 1) time for faculty to focus on writing and publishing a book and/or costs related to the publishing process; or 2) funds for faculty to participate in or host a manuscript workshop to obtain expert feedback on their draft book manuscript.
- Research and Innovation Grants. These grants support UNL faculty seeking to advance their programs of research, scholarship and/or creative endeavors.
Applications to the following programs are accepted on a rolling basis: Collaboration Grants: Team Formation and Ideation, Invited Scholar Grants, Rapid Response Grants and Revisions Grants. The Internal Funding Opportunities website provides complete details about all current internal funding programs.
