An instructional continuity day is planned for Sept. 20 to accommodate the Friday night home football game with Illinois. Researchers are urged to plan ahead to ensure they can access buildings and parking lots if necessary.
Chancellor Rodney Bennett shared the campus’s plan in an email to faculty and staff on July 30. More details are forthcoming and will be shared via email, Nebraska Today or Huskers.com.
Research personnel should be aware of the following game day procedures:
Remote work: Only essential employees should report to work on campus; all other employees should work remotely. Guidance for supervisors and employees is available from Human Resources.
Building access: Researchers are encouraged to work remotely and be present on campus only if performing critical functions that require in-person work. Most academic buildings will be accessible only via NCard. The University Libraries, University of Nebraska State Museum, International Quilt Museum, Sheldon Museum of Art and Nebraska Union will be open to the public. The College of Law, College of Dentistry, College of Nursing and University Health Center will be open for regular courses and activities.
Parking: Employees who have a UNL parking permit and plan to work on campus Sept. 20 must reserve a spot, at no cost. Individuals who need to reserve parking for research purposes should contact unlresearch@unl.edu before Aug. 13.
