The Mary Bomberger Brown Pathways to Success workshop will be March 5.
The workshop, open to UNL faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows and students, will be 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Willa Cather Dining Complex, Red Cloud Suite.
Dr. Katie Brandert, assistant dean of public health practice at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s College of Public Health, will lead an interactive workshop focused on the “personal board of directors” concept as a mentoring strategy.
The workshop is hosted by UNL’s chapter of the Association for Women in Science and the Office of Research and Innovation, Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Registration is required for the event, which includes a complimentary lunch.
The spring AWIS workshop series is named after the late Mary Bomberger Brown, a longtime Husker faculty member and ornithologist. Bomberger Brown played a key role in launching the UNL AWIS chapter, which works to build a campus culture that increases the participation and impact of women in STEM.
