A Dec. 10 workshop will help pre-tenure faculty prepare competitive proposals for the National Science Foundation’s Faculty Early Career Development Program. Registration is required by Dec. 7.
The workshop will be held from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the Regency Suite of the Nebraska Union. The workshop is free and open to UNL faculty.
UNL’s Office of Research and Economic Development annually sponsors an early career award workshop to provide prospective applicants with proposal writing advice specific to the NSF CAREER program. Lucy Deckard, president of Academic Research Funding Strategies, LLC, will lead the workshop. Deckard, who has more than 20 years of experience in proposal development, will discuss the basics of the NSF CAREER program and present strategies for planning and positioning yourself for success in writing a CAREER proposal.
The workshop includes a complimentary box lunch.
