News for Researchers

Posted October 6, 2025 by Dan Moser

A new virtual series designed to support investigators at every stage of the grant process launches Oct. 17. Each month will focus on an independent topic, from crafting competitive proposals to managing budgets.

Whether investigators are new to grant funding or looking to refine their approach, the sessions will offer practical tips, institutional resources and strategies to help them succeed. This webinar series is open to UNL faculty and staff.

The first session will take place on Oct. 17, 12-1 p.m., and will feature Jackson Hardin, the Office of Research and Innovation’s funding opportunity coordinator, and Ellen Fitzsimmons, director of foundation relations at the University of Nebraska Foundation, discussing strategies to identify funding opportunities. Both will remain available from 1-1:30 p.m. for additional questions. Registration is required.

Another session, set for Nov. 14 from 12-1 p.m., will feature Jocelyn Bosley, R&I’s research impact coordinator, discussing strategies for developing and communicating the societal benefits of your work. Register here.
