A Dec. 4 workshop will help pre-tenure faculty prepare competitive proposals for the National Science Foundation’s Faculty Early Career Development Program. Registration is required by Dec. 2.

The workshop will be 11:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the East Campus Union, Prairie Suite. It is free and open to UNL faculty.

The Office of Research and Innovation annually sponsors an early career award workshop to provide prospective applicants with proposal writing advice specific to the NSF CAREER program. Lucy Deckard, president of Academic Research Funding Strategies LLC, with more than 20 years of experience in proposal development, will lead the workshop. She will discuss the basics of the NSF CAREER program and present strategies for planning and positioning oneself for success in writing a CAREER proposal.

The workshop includes a complimentary lunch.
