The University of Nebraska State Museum will celebrate its 150th birthday with an Archie Party from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 12. The party activities are included with admission and members get in free. Advance tickets are available to guarantee entry at a specific time.

Visitors can play a variety of games and activities and will receive one free scoop of UNL Dairy Store ice cream. Visitors can observe Nebraska paleontologist Jeremy McMullin working on a 10-million-year-old mammoth fossil in the visible lab. A scavenger hunt, storytime, crafts and puzzles will also be provided.

Visitors who purchase an item from the museum’s gift shop will receive an extra party favor from Archie as a thank you for supporting the museum. While advance tickets are not required, they are strongly recommended. Hourly ticket capacities will be maintained to allow social distancing during this event.
