Life Sciences grant program webinar Friday

Information about UNL’s FY2011 Life Sciences Competitive Grants Program will be offered during a webinar Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. CST., which is sponsored by the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Office of Research and Economic Development. Faculty may participate via their computers by connecting to http://connect.extension.iastate.edu/nebraska to view slides and hear discussion. Questions may be submitted through the "chat box" feature of Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro Meeting.

The session will review the request for applications for proposals in two areas: Enhancing Interdisciplinary Teams in the Life Sciences and Facilitating Industry Partnerships. Representatives of IANR, Office of Research and Economic Development and College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education and Human Sciences and College of Engineering will offer remarks and there will be an opportunity to ask questions.

The UNL Life Sciences Competitive Grants Program is designed to provide seed grants to interdisciplinary teams of UNL faculty to conduct research in the life sciences. It is intended to spark and advance research that relates to the opportunities and challenges facing the life sciences.
