Virtual update on NEH funding opportunities is March 5
Program staff at the National Endowment for the Humanities will provide a virtual funding opportunity update on March 5 at noon CST. The update will focus on individual grant programs with April and June application deadlines. Register now to receive the Zoom link for the one-hour online event.
Application deadline is March 26 for Student Research Days Slam
The fifth annual Student Research Days Slam on April 9 is seeking presenters. This contest features short, engaging presentations from graduate students, undergraduates and postdocs across a variety of disciplines. Faculty are urged to encourage their students to participate in this opportunity to win cash prizes while sharing their work with a campuswide audience. Application videos must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. March 26.
STEM mentoring practices panel set for April 7
UNL faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows and students are invited to attend an interactive panel on effective mentoring practices in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. “Mentoring That Matters: Building Supportive Relationships for Career Growth,” is set for April 7 from 2-3:30 p.m. in the Willa Cather Dining Complex, Red Cloud A. Registration is required, with seating limited to the first 100 registrants.
