The Office of Research and Innovation will host its annual grant writing seminar, “Write Winning Grant Proposals,” on Feb. 28, 2025 from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Willa Cather Dining Complex, Red Cloud Room.
Registration is open and required to attend. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
The seminar will address idea development, identification of appropriate granting agencies, how to write for reviewers and strategies for presenting your case to reviewers.
Faculty, staff and postdoctoral associates can select one of the seminar’s four workbooks depending on the source from which they plan to pursue funding: National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Agriculture or a general version geared toward smaller funding agencies and foundations.
Participants who register before Feb. 11 will receive their workbook at the seminar. Those who register on or after that date will receive their workbook after the workshop. Participants do not need the workbook to attend the seminar.
This seminar is free for UNL faculty, postdoctoral associates and university staff. Faculty from other University of Nebraska campuses may attend but will be charged $150 to cover seminar costs. Participants not affiliated with the University of Nebraska are also welcome to attend and will be billed $200.
This workshop is not open to graduate students. Due to contractual restrictions, this seminar will not be recorded.
