University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty should mark their calendars to attend the Faculty Connector events hosted by the Office of Research and Innovation during fall 2025.

Faculty Connectors provide an opportunity for all faculty to network and socialize in a casual setting. Each event includes a brief program on a topic that is meaningful to the university community. This series is open to tenured and tenure-track faculty, research faculty and postdocs.

The semester’s first Faculty Connector is Sept. 30, 4-6 p.m., at the Wick Alumni Center, 1520 R St. Refreshments will be served. Registration is required.

During the September event, Cheryl Horst, interim executive director of NUtech Ventures, will give an overview of NUtech and the new express licensing option. NUexpress License is intended to accelerate commercialization and reduce barriers for UNL researchers who want to turn their innovations into startups.
