A Sept. 6 entrepreneurship workshop for STEM researchers will give participants tips on how to turn their groundbreaking research into a thriving startup.

The workshop, sponsored by the Nebraska Center for Energy Sciences Research, is 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the second-floor conference room at the Nebraska Innovation Campus Conference Center, with a networking event to follow until 5 p.m. The registration deadline is Aug. 25.

The event is open to faculty, graduate students, postdocs and other university STEM researchers.

Expert speakers will provide attendees with guidance to bring their ideas to life commercially, whether they’re just starting to consider launching a company or already have taken that plunge. Participants also will network with other aspiring entrepreneurs and learn about additional opportunities for training and development.

Workshop cosponsors are Innosphere Ventures, Nebraska Public Power District and NUtech Ventures.

For more information, contact Brenda Coufal, NCESR program coordinator, or Joy Eakin, entrepreneurship program manager for NUtech Ventures.
