CITI single sign-on is now complete, and all users should utilize their university SSO credentials to access CITI trainings.

The use of SSO with CITI allows for better security for training information along with allowing automated connections between systems (such as automated training uploads between CITI and NuRamp). Below are some basic instructions for accessing CITI using SSO.

Step 1: Please access CITI via the institutional SSO login. If a user is starting from the CITI main website, they should click on the institutional log-in tab

Step 2: The user will then be directed to another page for login and should select the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to utilize SSO login.

Now that the SSO is implemented, steps will be taken to connect CITI and NuRamp via an API for automated training uploads, which will replace manual uploads by RCIS/IACUC staff. Staff are hopeful this portion of the update will be completed soon.

The Institutional Review Board, Export Control and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee are also working with respective colleagues at each NU system campus to harmonize CITI training labeling and acceptance, which will assist with automated training uploads into NuRamp and easier acceptance across campuses and personnel.

NU’s identity management team worked with CITI to ensure the SSO connections are active and working. Those who encounter problems should contact the Research Compliance, Integrity and Security office via email or 402-472-6965.
