The deadline to apply for the Great Plains IDeA-Clinical Translational Research network’s Superstar award competition is 5 p.m. Sept. 27.

The award program’s goal is to raise awareness of clinical and translational research conducted by promising scholars who are developing innovative tools and methods for medical research. The winning investigator or team will receive a $35,000 pilot grant award to catalyze cutting-edge research that may readily translate to a sustainable product or a larger federal grant. Finalists will present their projects at the network’s 8th annual scientific meeting on Oct. 21. The winner will be announced by a panel of expert judges at the competition.
