Helping pre-tenure faculty prepare competitive proposals for the National Science Foundation’s Faculty Early Career Development Program is the focus of a Dec. 2 workshop. Registration is required.
The workshop is 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. CST at the Nebraska East Union, 1705 Arbor Drive, in the Prairie Suite. The workshop is free and open to University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University of Nebraska Medical Center, University of Nebraska at Omaha and University of Nebraska at Kearney faculty.
UNL’s Office of Research and Innovation annually sponsors an early career award workshop to provide prospective applicants with proposal writing advice specific to the NSF CAREER program. Dr. Amy Myrbo of Amiable Consulting will lead the workshop. Myrbo has 17 years of experience building two National Science Foundation-funded multi-user facilities at the University of Minnesota. She will discuss the basics of the NSF CAREER program and present strategies for planning and positioning a proposal for success.
The workshop includes a complimentary lunch.
