The Office of Research and Innovation is offering an information session focused on the National Institutes of Health’s S10 Instrumentation Grant Program. UNL faculty interested in applying to this opportunity are invited to attend the Zoom event, scheduled for Oct. 7 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link.
S10 grants provide support for shared instrumentation and equipment that are typically too expensive to be obtained by an individual investigator. The program enables groups of NIH-supported investigators to acquire or upgrade advanced biomedical research instruments that are broadly shared across an institution, creating new research opportunities, promoting collaborative research and training, and strengthening long-term institutional research capacity.
Program officers Monika Aggarwal and Jeffrey Spector will present an overview of the Shared Instrumentation Grant (SIG) and Seed Instrumentation Support (SIS) programs, including guidance on developing competitive proposals. A panel of faculty awardees will share their experiences with these programs and offer insights into the application and award process. Program officers and awardees will also participate in a Q&A session.
The Oct. 7 information session will be hosted by the University of Idaho and is organized in collaboration with Montana State University, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the University of Nevada, Reno, and Utah State University.
