The National Institutes of Health now requires researchers use SciENcv to complete the Common Forms for biographical sketches, Current and Pending (Other) Support and the NIH Biographical Sketch Supplement documents submitted with grant applications.
In addition, all senior/key personnel must enter their ORCID ID in the Persistent Identifier section of the Common Forms. Applicants will also need to link their ORCID ID with their eRA Commons profiles.
NIH is currently enforcing this change through a warning in the eRA system when the wrong forms are used. By Feb. 6, this warning will be elevated into an error preventing submission of the incorrect or uncertified forms.
NIH has provided instructions and examples for both the biosketch and other support documents. UNL Libraries also has a LibGuide featuring online tutorials and other helpful information on working in SciENcv.
