An Oct. 16 workshop will focus on community-based collaboration in research.

The 2024 Community-Engaged Research Institute: Centering Communities in Collaboration is scheduled from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center at the University of Nebraska Omaha, with a Zoom option available.

Topics at the workshop will include: building relationships with the community, understanding the role of community in research, community-engaged research projects, networking and project development, data resources to enhance grant applications and planning and reporting.

Registration is now open.

The workshop is sponsored by the Great Plains IDeA-CTR, which is funded by the National Institutes of Health-National Institute of General Medical Sciences.
