On April 24, the National Science Foundation initiated a pilot run of a template that enables proposers to submit collaborator and other affiliation information in a standardized, searchable format. NSF now requires that all applications submitted via FastLane use the spreadsheet.

NSF includes instructions and a link to the template on this webpage. All principal investigators, co-PIs and senior personnel are required to submit collaborator and other affiliation information.

Required by NSF’s Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide, the collaborator and other affiliation information guides the agency in selecting reviewers. The template is intended to expedite the selection process by eliminating the need for administrative staff to manipulate non-searchable files. The form also ensures proposers comply with NSF requirements for this section. Read more about the pilot program here.
