The university’s Export Control Compliance Program has developed a new guidance document and request form for anyone requiring access to the DD Form 2345, the Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement.

The U.S. Department of Defense requires this certification from U.S. contractors, including universities, that wish to obtain access to unclassified technical data that discloses militarily critical technology with military or space applications.

University ECCP staff, including an empowered official, serve as data custodians for UNL’s DD2345 form. Faculty, staff and students who require access to this information must complete and submit a request form for approval. They also are required to complete Export Control Group 1 CITI training for research personnel.

Visit the Activities Subject to Export Controls: Military or Space-Related Research and CDI/CUI webpage and scroll to DD2345 Form to read and complete the request for use form.

For more information about DD2345, contact ECCP.
