Join University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty, staff and students for a fall semester program to learn strategies about connecting research innovation with market applications. The Nebraska Introduction to Customer Discovery program begins Sept. 8, and participants may sign up individually or in teams of up to five people.

The application deadline is Sept. 3 at 4:30 p.m or when capacity is met. Learn more and apply here

Space in the program is limited. Applications will be reviewed and successful applicants will be notified of their acceptance into the program a few days in advance.

The free, non-credit program is based on the National Science Foundation’s Innovation Corps program, which helps researchers develop a value proposition and customer segmentation. After identifying and interviewing prospective customers, researchers use feedback to guide decisions about a startup company or technology commercialization.

The program features four evening sessions, held via Zoom or potentially a hybrid model, led by a team of campus instructors and an NSF National I-Corps instructor. It also includes office hours with instructors between sessions.

Sponsoring organizations include NUtech Ventures, Invest Nebraska, The Combine Incubator and the National Strategic Research Institute.
