Pivot-RP, also known as Pivot, is a database that contains active funding opportunities across all disciplines and project types, sourced from various sponsors, including the federal U.S. government, private foundations, corporate organizations, and international organizations. Faculty are encouraged to refer to the Getting Started with Pivot tip sheet.

Profiles

Users signing into Pivot for the first time will be prompted to claim or create a profile. Profiles contain biographical information about users’ roles, affiliations, research interests, publications, grants, and patent information. While profiles are not required to access and use Pivot, profile information helps the database suggest relevant funding opportunities and potential collaborators. Users who claim their profile will have some of their information pre-populated by Pivot’s Editorial Team; however, users are encouraged to update their profiles to improve accuracy. Users interested in learning more about profiles are encouraged to reference Pivot’s introductory videos.
