This opportunity seeks to accelerate scientific discovery as well as research and development workflows using novel AI models and frameworks, addressing energy, environmental, and nuclear challenges.
Phase I Small Team applications request full proposals by 4/28/2026. Phase II Large Team applications request letters of intent by 4/28/2026.
Applicant institutions may submit one application as the lead institution per focus area for Phase I and Phase II applications combined. There are a total of 99 focus areas found on pages 12 through 53 of the solicitation. Interested applicants are encouraged to indicate their targeted focus area and partner institution(s) (DOE/NNSA National Laboratory/Scientific User Facility or industry partner) in the notification of intent to submit form.
