Internal Funding Opportunities
- UNL internal funding opportunities feature funding opportunities limited to members of the UNL community.
- Nebraska EPSCoR funding opportunities is a list of funding competitions coordinated by the Nebraska EPSCoR/IDeA office.
External Funding Opportunities
- Grants.gov is the access point for competitive funding opportunities from more than 900 grant programs offered by the 26 federal grant-making agencies.
- Contract Opportunities are procurement notices from federal contracting offices. Anyone interested in doing business with the government can use this system to search opportunities. Opportunities include pre-solicitation notices, solicitation notices, award notices, and sole source notices.
- Philanthropy News Digest publishes funding opportunities and award notices for grant-making and non-profit organizations.
- H-Net Academic Announcements disseminates faculty and student grant and fellowship opportunities in the arts, humanities and social sciences.
- Nationally Coveted College Scholarships, Graduate Fellowships & Postdoctoral Awards provides information regarding competitive and prestigious undergraduate scholarships, graduate fellowships, minority postdoctoral awards and more from national and international organizations.
- The Michigan State University Libraries’ Grants and Related Resources page provides a gateway to a range of funding opportunities (e.g., scholarships, fellowships and grants). Users may review funding opportunities in a number of categories, including subject and academic level.
- National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, New York Foundation for the Arts and Americans for the Arts are good resources for funding opportunities in the arts and humanities.
- Candid Learning provides information on a variety of grant-related topics specific to funding for the arts and humanities.
- UNL’s Coordinator of the Foundation Center Cooperative Collection can provide a variety of information, supplementary materials and services related to grantsmanship and foundation funding, including assistance with individual funding opportunity searches.
Agency Specific Search Engines
- Find Funding is a searchable database of funding opportunities at the National Science Foundation (NSF). You can also sign up here for NSF funding opportunities alerts via email or RSS.

- Early Career Funding Opportunities, produced by Johns Hopkins University, is a continuously updated repository of federal and private funding opportunities that are intended for late postdoctoral investigators and early-career faculty, usually those at or below the rank of assistant professor.
